ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026

By law we are required to estimate how much it costs to attend college at 海角社区 Community College for one year, called a Cost of Attendance (COA).The Cost of Attendance is a federally defined term that includes costs above and beyond what you will be billed for. This includes expenses that 海角社区 will not bill you for, such as transportation, books, and personal expenses.

In order to calculate the COA, the Financial Aid Office reviews:

  • Tuition and Fees
  • Books, Course Materials, Supplies, and equipment
  • Room & Board
  • Miscellaneous Personal Expenses and other items allowed under Section 472 of the HEA
  • Transportation Costs

This yearly review establishes a 鈥渂udget鈥 for students and is used to determine eligibility for financial aid.

Transportation, room and board costs are determined by a student鈥檚 living expenses as either on or off campus or with a parent. Tuition and fees are based on 海角社区 current tuition rate or the current tuition rate plus 5% if the tuition rate wasn鈥檛 determined.

Students are grouped in COA categories based on:

  • Residency status (in-state/out-of-state)
  • Housing status (on campus/off campus/with parents)
  • Enrollment status

海角社区 COA includes direct and indirect costs. Direct costs are normally related to a student鈥檚 bill for enrollment. In-direct costs are other expenses not usually paid to 海角社区 but are expected to be incurred.

All actual final costs will vary based on the student鈥檚 individual choices and personal needs.
