Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed 海角社区 alumnus Jason Murray to a seven-year term on the college鈥檚 Board of Regents, succeeding retired educator Dr. Juanita Krittenbrink.
Murray graduated with an associate degree in animal science from 海角社区 in 2017 and was a member of the college鈥檚 Livestock Judging Team.

"海角社区 provided me with an exceptional foundation that has shaped both my education and career path,鈥 Murray said. 鈥淎s a proud alumnus who has experienced firsthand the quality education and opportunities 海角社区 offers, I'm committed to ensuring current and future students receive the same excellent preparation for their careers and continued education.鈥

With a background in public service and agriculture, Murray has held positions at both the federal and state government levels, including serving as a policy advisor to Gov. Stitt and as an aide to Attorney General John M. O鈥機onnor. For the past decade, he has operated a pig and cattle business while providing livestock consulting services to clients across the country.

Currently a law student at the University of Tulsa and the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, Murray is a legal fellow with The Fund for American Studies, a member of the National Trial Competition team at TU, a member of the Oklahoma Historical Society and an accredited parliamentarian.

After earning an associate degree from 海角社区, Murray continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a degree in agribusiness.

海角社区 President Marr welcomed Murray to the board. 鈥淚 am looking forward to working with Regent Murray. His background in agriculture and government service, combined with his deep understanding of our institution's mission, will be tremendous assets as we work together to advance educational opportunities for our students and strengthen our community partnerships.鈥
